Bookkeeping Services
I help with your day-to-day bookkeeping
so that you can focus on what you do best.
Leave the set-up,
catch-up and clean-up to me!
These are some of the services I can provide:
- Set up an accounting system in Quickbooks® or Quickbooks Online (if needed I can help you decide which is best for you).
- Catch-up transaction entry from previous months using bank statements, receipts, and whatever information you have on hand.
- Enter transactions (individual expenditures, sales receipts,
etc.) on a monthly basis.
- You do not need to provide workspace; your documents can be scanned or copied for data entry at my office. I offer one no-charge trip to your office each month to pick up documents.
- Alternatively, I can work with someone you already trust to train them to enter transactions.
- Develop and/or manage a budget.
- Manage payroll.
- Invoice customers.
- Write checks and pay bills.
- Balance checking and credit card accounts.
- Monitor accounts for “unusual” charges.
- Provide monthly and yearly financial reports, such as
income/expense or profit/loss reports for monitoring revenue, expenses
and net profit, and
balance sheets for monitoring assets and liabilities.
- I will walk you through the reports each month if you like, and I'll provide the information in the way that is easiest for you to visualize. For instance, some people work better with pie charts and graphs.
- Prepare for income taxes; work with your CPA to provide the necessary information and make sure taxes are filed properly.
How much will it cost?
My hourly rate is very reasonable and significantly less than CPAs or attorneys. I help these professionals do their job more efficiently by providing the organized information that they need, and I can liaison directly with them if you like.
Non-profits and senior citizens receive a discount on my hourly rates.
Two to 10 hours per month are generally sufficient for monthly bookkeeping for small organizations and individuals. The actual number of hours depends on the complexity of your bookkeeping, the number of transactions per month, and which services you'd like me to provide. I'll also give you an estimate for the numbers of hours required for me to set up your system.
