As a daily money manager (personal bookkeeper) I help individuals with their finances, often right in their own home. This a wonderful service for people such as:

How I help

I help with the day-to-day personal bookkeeping aspects of life that can be so difficult to keep up with. These are some of the services I can provide:

• Write checks and pay bills.
• Balance checking and credit card accounts.
• Monitor accounts for “unusual” charges.
• Sort through mail.
• Set up a financial organization and filing system that works for you, or use the one you already have.
• Organize and file paperwork.
• Work with creditors to make sure you are not overpaying.
• Provide reports that let you know how money is being spent.
• Prepare for income taxes; work with your CPA to provide the necessary information.
• Liaison with your tax, financial planning, and legal professionals, and make referrals if needed.

I can work at your home, at my office, or a combination.

Special services for seniors

As a daily money manager, I help older adults maintain independence and gain confidence about their financial situation. I offer special discounts for seniors over age 70. My services can also help ease the burden for those caring for aging parents while raising their own families.

How much will it cost?

My hourly rate is very reasonable and significantly less than CPAs or attorneys. I help these professionals do their job more efficiently by providing the organized information that they need, and I can liaison directly with them if you like.

A few hours per month are usually sufficient for most individuals. The actual number of hours depends on the complexity of your situation, which we will discuss at our initial meeting.

I am a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers. I have committed to the Code of Ethics defined by this organization and provide safe, confidential management tailored to your financial situation. I am a Certified Quickbooks User. In addition to helping businesses, I believe that it's important to help individuals maintain their financial integrity. Small business owners must also maintain accurate personal records. And for senior citizens, daily money management can help maintain independence. I choose to provide daily money management for individuals in addition to business bookkeeping as a natural for my skills, encompassing my passion for assisting others and my experience and knowledge in bookkeeping. All of my services require conscientiousness, organization, compassion, and advocacy for my clients, characteristics that have always inspired my best work.

An initial consultation is always free. We’ll start by working together to determine what is needed and the best system for you. Each client’s needs are different! For example, you may want me to set up electronic access to checking accounts and bill paying, or you may prefer to use paper checks.
